Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Foreign Post-Graduate (Master's Degree) Scholarship 2025/2026

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for its Foreign Post-Graduate (Master’s Degree) Scholarship Programme. This initiative aims to equip young professionals from the Niger Delta with specialized skills and global competitiveness in key disciplines.

About the Scholarship
As part of its commitment to human resource development, the NDDC is offering this scholarship to support young professionals in acquiring specialized skills that will enhance their global competitiveness and effective participation in the Federal Government’s local content initiatives.

Eligible Disciplines
This scholarship is available for candidates pursuing a Master’s degree in the following professional fields:

✔️ Agricultural Science
✔️ Engineering
✔️ Environmental Science
✔️ Geosciences
✔️ Information Technology
✔️ Medical Sciences
✔️ Law
✔️ Architecture

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the NDDC Foreign Post-Graduate Scholarship, applicants must:

✔️ Be an indigene of the Niger Delta Region.
✔️ Have a Bachelor’s Degree (First Class, Second Class Upper, or Second Class Lower) from a recognized university.
✔️ Be no older than 40 years at the time of application.

Selection Process

🔹 Step 1: Online Application – Submit an application via the NDDC website.
🔹 Step 2: Preliminary Shortlisting – Candidates will be shortlisted based on:
✔️ WASSCE/NECO results
✔️ Undergraduate degree classification
✔️ Local Government Identification
🔹 Step 3: Computer-Based Test (CBT) – Shortlisted candidates will take a test in Rivers State.
🔹 Step 4: Minimum Test Score Requirement – A minimum score of 70% is required to proceed.
🔹 Step 5: Further Shortlisting – Candidates who pass the CBT will undergo further shortlisting.
🔹 Step 6: Final Verification – The final selection will be verified by the Local Government Area (LGA) and Community Development Committee (CDC).

Scholarship Value
The scholarship amount will be determined based on the prevailing Naira exchange rate for foreign studies.

Important Notes

✔️ Upon successful application submission, an automatically generated registration number will be assigned.
✔️ Applicants should print a hard copy of the acknowledgment slip for reference.
✔️ Shortlisted candidates will be announced on the NDDC website.
✔️ The NDDC will not communicate with unsuccessful candidates.
✔️ Preference will be given to applicants from oil-producing host communities/local governments.
✔️ Scholarship awards will be distributed fairly across states and disciplines.
✔️ Deferment, institution/course changes are not allowed.
✔️ The NDDC’s selection decision is final.
